About me
Johann Wlassa
With a passion for engineering, and driven by a curiosity about how technology works, as a kid I often took apart and reassembled my toys. This fascination has evolved over the years, shaping me into the skilled engineer and leader i am today.
After studying mold making and mold design engineering, I was blessed to get the chance to gain 30+ years of experience in the automotive and sports footwear industries.
My career includes working on high-precision products at the Schaeffler Group, creating some of the most iconic performance and streetwear shoes at Nike, and driving innovations and product development at framas.
In addition to my technical curiosity, my passion for exploring different cultures inspired me to work abroad. So I spent 11 years living and working in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Korea.
My wife and I returned to Germany early 2024, bringing with me a wealth of international experience.
With a vision to help clients achieve their product aspirations, I founded WLASSA ENGINEERING to offer expertise in traditional footwear manufacturing methods, innovative techniques, or a combination of both.
The "WE" goal is to assist clients in bringing their unique visions to life through customized engineering solutions.
